TECHNICAL FEATURES
As a pure emotional beast, Noveunosei needs a sleek design and recognizable elements.
We took inspiration from the iconic elements of the Ducati 916 and repurposed them with new functions: we turned the headlamps shapes into air intakes that channel the air into the engine, taking advantage of the most air-pressured spot of the whole motorcycle. The headlamps are now below the front end, hidden right above the radiator area.
The result is the iconic and recognizable shapes of the 916 front-end fairings becoming features to control and improve the airflow at high speed.
In the rear, we took the chance to reinterpret the whole tail: the mufflers are still under the tail as it was in the Ducati 916 (which is also the position where they are in SBK on the Ducati Panigales) but re-designed with a much more modern touch. The squared and vintage-looking taillamps suddenly become modern, raising up the overall look of the tail.
We also designed new air intakes behind the seat, on the side of the tail, that are used to cool down the exhaust area.
